Frédérik Steenbrink met Eric Dufaure in August 2001 in EMI studios in Paris while recording Irma, la douce, where he invited him to a preview of Une étoile et moi with Isabelle Georges.
Seduced by the idea and the talent of the two artists, Dufaure offered them the opportunity to record the album on his label Beluga Productions.
He called upon orchestrator Matthieu Gonet for the arrangements, and in August 2002, they started recording at EMI Studios.
The album includes 14 songs of Garland's repertoire and an original French tribute song: La Voix de mes rêves.
Une Etoile et moi is Beluga Productions' third album after Irma, la douce and Nortec Collective.
Before creating Beluga Productions, Eric Dufaure was president of EMI Publishing France where he signed Saint-Germain, Pierpoljak, Lio, Eiffel, Rhoff, Intik, Richard Bona, Mino Cinelu, Jean Fauque and Nilda Fernandez… |
